Next up for design projects is a master bath addition for a 1925 Bungalow.
My team for this project consists of the terrific folks at Cure Architects. They've been wonderful to work with. I'm super stoked and ready to get started. My contractor team is led by my ever faithful Darin, CEO of Unity Works. The addition will be 12' x 6' and add a total of 72 square feet to the home. Currently there's only one bathroom in the house so this addition will make a big difference. One of the structural schematics is above.
For this bathroom I'm going for a modern feel with hints of rustic/vintage. The flooring will be 18x36" charcoal tile with dark grout. Shower tile will be 4x12 subway tile in a chevron pattern. The vanity is distressed pine with 3 drawers. I love drawers when the vanity is big enough.
For additional in room storage I'm redesigning a tall cabinet using an all wood cabinet I bought at the thrift store for just $24! The glass door inserts will be antiqued using a mercury glass technique. The rest of the cabinet will be sanded down and a gray stain will be applied.
